OUR REVIEW:

One of the things we like most about Yahoo Personals is that it is so easy to use. Anyone with a basic understanding of the Internet can start using the service immediately, and everything is pretty much self-explanatory.

As with most online dating sites, you do not have to sign up for the paid service to browse the listings or post profiles. You are likely to find hundreds, if not thousands of listings in your area, since the level of participation is so high. Once you find a listing you like and decide to make contact, only then are you required to pay the monthly membership fee, which is a relatively low $19.95.

Creating a free profile only takes about 5 or 10 minutes. Each profile can include up to 5 photos, and consists of a series of answers to standard questions such as occupation, level of education, height, build, etc. The description you enter can be up to 4000 characters (That's about 3 double-spaced pages). People who opt to use more high-tech services such as video greetings, etc, have that option available to them as well.

You could easily spend hours browsing the listings at Yahoo. It is fun to use and offers a very wide selection of listings. Because it is completely free to browse the listings, so we encourage you to at least surf some of the listings before deciding whether you want membership.
