OUR REVIEW: Date.com is a simple-to-use dating site where you can sign up and create a profile in less than 2 minutes. They have a pretty decent number of listings, which you can browse for free, but the one thing we found missing were questions that address interests, hobbies, personality type, etc. The "essay" portion of the profile is the only real place to give your listing some personality. To make up for this, however, Date.com does allow you to search listings by "keyword," a very useful feature that we don't find on many other dating sites. If you see a member you like, you can "show interest," which is a way to express your interest for free, but without the benefit of sending a personal message. You can "show interest" to up to 100 members on any given day, although it probably does not make sense to select this many people. Other members can show interest in you as well, but ultimately, if you want to get in touch with the people you are interested in, either by chat or email, you need to upgrade to a gold membership, which costs $24.95/month. With over 2 million profiles, Date.com offers a streamlined dating service that is easy to to join and use. If you are interested in a basic, simple-to-understand dating site with no long signup forms, and if you don't care for personality profiles, hobby questionairres, and other elaborate matching scenarios, then date.com may be exactly the type of no-nonsense dating site you are looking for.
